This is just a brief blog to wish you all a Happy Christmas and the best of luck for 2016. Rather than bombard you all with Christmas cards we hope you don’t mind that we’ve donated the money saved - £500 ($750) - to a fantastic charity local to us, The Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity (DVLCC).
Having fun at the Dame Vera Lynn's Children's Charity School for Parents
The charity is named after Dame Vera Lynn, now 98, who is best known as The Forces Sweetheart. During World War II she performed her songs all over Europe, bringing an invaluable bit of hope and home to British troops. Dame Vera is also president of the charity which provides an early intervention service for babies and children under five years of age with cerebral palsy and other motor learning difficulties in Sussex. At DVLCC's School for Parents, both parents and children are taught a range of fun activities which help them develop their physical, emotional and social skills.
Whenever we ask you for feedback on our service we also like to donate to a charity of your choice to thank you for your in time. See below for a full list of the charities we have supported in 2015. Together with the contribution to the Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity we have donated over £1000 / $1500 this year.
