If you have anything to do with the Martech industry you’ve probably read about the emerging use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in marketing. Indeed we’ve already written a blog or two about the subject ourselves. As a Digital Asset Management company we do have a vested interest. There are a number of areas where AI can be of use, particularly in the realm of adding metadata to assets, probably the most time-consuming activity for companies setting up a Digital Asset Management system.
Over the last few months, Asset Bank founder Martin Wilson has been exploring the viability of automatic image tagging with our very own DAM system, Asset Bank. You can read more about his views on DAM news.
One of the outcomes from this work was an application called Autotagger. This tool automatically adds keywords into asset metadata fields when the asset is first uploaded.
In this short video, Martin gives a bit more insight into how Autotagger works and how it might be of use to companies who have tens of thousands of assets to manage.
We freely admit Autotagger won’t get it right every time but we do genuinely believe it can be a useful tool if you have a very large data migration exercise on your hands or you regularly upload thousands of assets. Especially if you don’t think you’re going to be able to tag the assets until a later date but could benefit from users being able to find these assets straight away.
We are currently trialing Autotagger with our clients at a price of only £50 per 10,000 assets per month. If you would like to find out more or give it a try please get in touch.
